LUCKY’S BARBERSHOP AND SHAVE PARLOR TO HOST SECOND ANNUAL ADOPTION DAY ON JUNE 11TH 2017

A fun event to publicize and support the work done by Pope Memorial SPCA

Concord, NH – Lucky’s Barbershop and Shave Parlor and Pope Memorial SPCA are proud to announce their partnership in the second annual Lucky’s Barbershop Adoption Day on Sunday June 11th from 9:00am-5:00pm. The event will raise donations and awareness for Concord’s Pope Memorial SPCA and will be held at Lucky’s Barbershop’s 50 S. State St. Location. This year’s event features a sprawling Block Party layout and extended hours after an extremely successful event last June.

“As animal lovers and loving guardians of shelter animals ourselves, we recognize and appreciate the noble work that Pope Memorial SPCA does. We want to do whatever we can to help out.”  says Lucky’s Barbershop owner and Master Barber Joshua Craggy. “We had so much fun interacting with our community last year and I really think that we shined a spotlight on the generosity of our community members and a mutual passion for supporting the underdog.”

Lucky’s Barbershop has a long standing reputation for local philanthropy.  Past years have seen them host a successful event to benefit Best Buddies Foundation and participation and generous donations to countless organizations benefiting local arts, education, and athletics. Last year’s event raised nearly $2,000 for the Pope Memorial SPCA and on this year’s Adoption Day visitors will be able to mingle with furry friends from Pope Memorial SPCA looking for forever homes and take part an expanded block party layout complete with a raffle furnished with prizes from some of Concord’s premier local businesses such as Joe King’s Shoe Store, S&W Cycles, and Windmill Family Restaurant just to name a few. Visitors will even be able to take family portrait photos with their pets shot by a professional photographer or enjoy gourmet food truck cuisine.

Well known for a commitment to quality in the tonsorial arts, the barbers at Lucky’s Barbershop strive also to give back to a community that has provided them with a loving home and a faithful customer base for nearly a decade. Their second annual Adoption Day will serve as a fantastic vehicle for combining summertime family fun and bolstering support for another hardworking group looking to better the world around them one wagging tail at a time.
