The City has 766 on-street metered parking spaces throughout Downtown Concord, as well as hundreds of free parking spaces in areas on the edges of the downtown central business district.
On-Street Metered Parking – Parking on Main Street and most of the downtown area is not free and needs to be prepaid at one of the kiosks. Cost for on street parking is $1.00 an hour and your receipt needs to be placed to your dashboard. If you still have time on your ticket, you are able to move your vehicle to a new parking spot and still use the same ticket. Parking is also available on the side streets (some kiosks, some coin meters) there is a three hour limit when parking on Main Street or the immediate downtown side streets.
Hours of Enforcement are from 9AM to 7PM Monday – Saturday.
Public Parking Garages – The City has 3 municipally owned public parking garages with over 1,000 parking spaces.
- School Street Garage (School / Warren)
- North State Street / Green Street Garage (on North State Street, next to the YMCA)
- Storrs Street / Capital Commons Garage (accessible on Storrs St)
There is no maximum on the amount of time in the garages. Garage parking is less expensive at $0.50 an hour and is free on Saturday and Sunday. Reserved spaces are open to the public between 7PM and 8AM and on weekdays. At the garages, you’ll enter your space number at the kiosk; no need to return to your vehicle.
Hours of Enforcement are from 9AM – 7PM Monday – Friday.
Parking is free – on all downtown streets / garages after 7PM weekdays and all day on Sunday.
On-Street and garage parking is also free on the following holidays:

- President’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Fourth of July
- Labor Day
- Columbus Day
- Election Day (when applicable)
- Veteran’s Day
- Thanksgiving Day & the Day After Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day.
Be careful! A ticket for an expired meter/space on the street or in the garage is $15.
